1. Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using CS2Overlay (the "Service"), including the setup dashboard at CS2Overlay.com and any overlay URLs generated by it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator of CS2Overlay ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of the Service.

2. Description of Service

CS2Overlay is an independent, browser-based overlay tool for content creators that displays live FACEIT CS2 statistics as an OBS Browser Source. The Service consists of:

A setup dashboard for configuring your overlay preferences.
Dynamically generated overlay URLs that can be used as OBS Browser Sources.
Optional Premium features unlocked via a one-time cryptocurrency payment.

      Important: CS2Overlay is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with FACEIT Ltd., ESL Gaming, or Valve Corporation. "FACEIT" is a trademark of FACEIT Ltd.
    

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Free Tier

The Free tier of the Service is provided at no cost and includes core overlay functionality with a CS2Overlay watermark. No account, registration, or payment is required to use the Free tier. We reserve the right to modify the features included in the Free tier at any time.

5. Premium Tier & Payments

5.1 Premium Features

Premium unlocks additional features including removal of the watermark, custom colour options, advanced statistics, and background image support. The exact features included in Premium may change over time; material reductions in features for active subscriptions will be communicated in advance.

5.2 Pricing

Current pricing is displayed on the setup page at the time of purchase: $5.00 USD for 31 days (monthly) or $45.00 USD for 365 days (yearly). Prices are subject to change; any price change will not affect a period already paid for.

5.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paymento (paymento.io), a third-party cryptocurrency payment processor. By completing a purchase you also agree to Paymento's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive, store, or process your wallet address or any payment credentials.

5.4 Activation

Premium is activated automatically upon confirmation of your blockchain transaction, typically within 1–15 minutes. Premium periods are tied to your FACEIT player ID. You are responsible for entering your correct FACEIT username before checkout.

5.5 No Auto-Renewal

Premium does not auto-renew. Each purchase is a discrete, one-time payment for a fixed period. You will not be charged again unless you initiate a new purchase.

5.6 No Refunds

      All sales are final. Due to the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency transactions, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law. We strongly recommend using the Free tier before purchasing.
    

If your payment confirmed but Premium did not activate within 30 minutes, contact us at [email protected] and we will manually apply your Premium - you will not lose your purchase.

5.7 Gifting

You may purchase Premium as a gift for another FACEIT user. Gift purchases are subject to the same no-refund policy. You represent that you have obtained appropriate consent from the recipient or that the gift is unsolicited and inoffensive.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or exploit the Premium entitlement system.
Use the Service to display content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates any third-party rights.
Overload our infrastructure through automated or excessive requests beyond normal use.
Misrepresent your identity or provide a false FACEIT username to obtain Premium for a different account.
Resell or transfer Premium access to other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these rules, without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, visual assets, and all content generated by it, is owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial streaming purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

FACEIT and related marks are trademarks of FACEIT Ltd. Counter-Strike and related marks are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Both are referenced solely to describe the Service's functionality and do not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by their respective owners.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

FACEIT Data API - used to retrieve your public match statistics.
Paymento - used to process cryptocurrency payments.
Cloudflare Pages - used for infrastructure and delivery.
Google Fonts - used to load display typefaces.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
FACEIT API data will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date at all times.
Premium features will remain unchanged indefinitely.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. For material changes we will post a notice on the setup page. Your continued use of the Service following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.

1. Overview

CS2Overlay ("we", "us", "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We have designed the Service to collect as little personal data as possible.

Short version: Your overlay settings are stored only in your own browser. The only data we hold server-side is your FACEIT player ID and premium expiry date (for paying users). We do not run ads, sell data, or track you across the web.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

FACEIT Username or SteamID - entered by you to identify your FACEIT profile. Used solely to fetch your public statistics from the FACEIT API.

2.2 Data Stored in Your Browser

All overlay preferences (username, display style, colour settings, cache duration, toggle states) are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2.3 Data We Store Server-Side

For Premium users only, we store your FACEIT player ID and the expiry date of your Premium access. This is the minimum required to verify and serve your Premium status.

For gift purchases, the gifter's FACEIT username is retained and displayed only to the recipient on their own setup page, so their gift can be credited. This entry is not visible to other users. It is kept for as long as the recipient's Premium record exists, or until that recipient's gift history reaches its entry cap, whichever comes first. A separate, temporary reference used only to pass the gifter's name from checkout to activation is deleted shortly after the purchase completes.

We do not store email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, or any financial information.

2.4 Payment Data

Payment is handled entirely by Paymento. We never see or store your cryptocurrency wallet address or any payment credentials. We receive only a webhook notification containing: your FACEIT username, the plan duration purchased, and a confirmation that payment was successful.

2.5 Overlay Request Logs

When your OBS Browser Source fetches the overlay URL, the request passes through Cloudflare's edge network. Cloudflare may log standard HTTP metadata (IP address, request path, response code, timestamp) in accordance with their own privacy policy. These logs are not accessible to us in a personally identifiable form and are not retained by us.

3. How We Use Your Information

To deliver the Service - your FACEIT username is used to query the public FACEIT Data API and serve your stats to the overlay.
To manage Premium access - your FACEIT player ID and expiry timestamp are used solely to determine whether to serve premium overlay features.
To prevent abuse - request patterns may be monitored to detect and block API abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

4. Cookies & Tracking

CS2Overlay does not use cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics). The only browser storage we use is localStorage, which you control entirely and can clear at any time from your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third parties, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

FACEIT Data API (faceit.com privacy policy) - retrieves your publicly available match statistics.
Paymento (paymento.io) - processes cryptocurrency payments.
Cloudflare (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy) - provides hosting and edge delivery.
Google Fonts (policies.google.com/privacy) - delivers web fonts; your browser makes a request to Google's servers to load fonts.

6. Data Retention

Premium records are kept while your subscription is active and for a short period after expiry in case of support queries, then deleted.
Gift attribution data is deleted automatically after a short period.
Browser localStorage persists until you clear your browser data - we have no control over this.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, and portability of your personal data. Because we hold minimal data server-side, deletion requests are straightforward.

To request deletion of your server-side data (your premium record), email us at [email protected] with your FACEIT username. We will action your request within 30 days. Note that deleting your premium record will immediately revoke any active Premium access without refund.

To clear your locally stored preferences, go to your browser's settings and clear localStorage for CS2Overlay.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on infrastructure operated by Cloudflare, which has data centres globally. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. Cloudflare complies with applicable data protection frameworks.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes we will post a notice on the setup page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
